Chris Harris scored 14 points for Bees at Belle Vue |
Coventry Bees are just one victory away from capturing the last play-off place following Monday's comprehensive win at Belle Vue. Bees won 53-37 and now need to beat leaders Poole at Brandon on Thursday to reach the end-of-season competition. If Coventry achieve the feat it will be all the more remarkable because they began the Elite League campaign with seven straight defeats. But they have won seven of their last eight to propel them up the table. The margin of victory for the Bees at Belle Vue meant they picked up four points to move two points behind Lakeside. Coventry skipper Chris Harris top-scored in the meeting and he told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire the team are ready for the challenge on Thursday. He said: "I think they (Poole) are probably looking at it and they're probably afraid of us to be honest. "The Bees at the moment have a sting in their tail and we want to win it."
