Organisers of the Manx Grand Prix are delighted with the quality field assembled for the 2010 meeting.

The Isle of Man event, which gets underway on Saturday, will see a host of former Mountain Course winners, as well as 50 newcomers.

Organiser Phil Edge told BBC Isle of Man: "We are delighted to have so many new faces at the event.

"We've had to bring the opening practice session forward by an hour on Saturday to fit them all in."

The newcomers will get the opening practice underway with an untimed and controlled lap, followed by the junior and senior machines.

The session will conclude with the lightweight and classic bikes.
