Lawson will miss Saturday's meeting with an injured shoulder |
Workington boss Ian Thomas has revealed his frustration at being unable to provide a like-for-like replacement for the injured Richard Lawson. The 24-year-old will miss Saturday's home meeting with Edinburgh due to a shoulder injury but Thomas is unable to draw on Premier League standard cover. "You can't book a rider doubling up in the Premier League or who has ever had an average above four," Thomas said. Thomas has brought in Scunthorpe Saints rider Steven Worrall as a stand-in. Comets will also be without Peter Kildemand for the meeting, although Andre Compton will be back for the visit of the Premier League champions.
