Smith joined the King's Lynn Stars in 2008 |
Ipswich Witches doubling-up rider Kozza Smith is aiming to be riding full-time in the Elite League within two years. The 22-year-old Australian featured in Ipswich's 49-41 home defeat by Coventry on Thursday night and feels he is getting to grips with the top division. The King's Lynn Stars asset told BBC Radio Suffolk: "I'm hoping next year I'll get another double-up. "I think I need one more season in the Premier League and then I hope 2012 is a full year." The Witches' prospects this season look even bleaker after letting the Bees grab a maximum-point haul at Foxhall. The Suffolk side remain rooted to the bottom of the Elite League table. But Smith, who scored two points from his four races, is focusing on making improvements to his own game. "It's in the start and the first corners, they're so much sharper out of the gates," he said. "Other than that I've just got to toughen up a bit more."
