Paul Hurry began his Lakeside career in 1991

Lakeside Hammers rider Paul Hurry has been ruled out for the rest of the Elite League season, after fracturing both of his legs.

Hurry crashed in a Grasstrack race in France last weekend, but is determined to return to riding in 2011.

Lakeside asset Lubos Tomicek is likely to ride in Friday's home fixture against Swindon Robins.

Hammers' number eight Chris Neath, who rides for Premier League Rye House, will also be a replacement for Hurry.
