Stead missed out on the World Cup squad last year

Great Britain have announced their five-man squad for this summer's Speedway World Cup.

Swindon's Simon Stead gets a recall, after missing last year's competition as does former British champion and current Ipswich star Scott Nicholls.

Coventry's Chris Harris, Lakeside's Lee Richardson and Wolverhampton's Tai Woffinden also get the nod.

Team GB will face Australia, Sweden and Finland at the event in King's Lynn on Monday, 26 July.

Great Britain Speedway boss Rob Lyon said: "I've picked form riders in Scotty and Simon and it's great to have them back on board."
