Alexander Sims is in his second season in the F3 Euroseries |
Lincolnshire racing driver Alexander Sims finished an impressive second in the non-championship Formula Three GP Masters race at Zandvoort in Holland. Sims, 22, qualified on pole position and opted to stay on slick tyres after a rain shower before the start. He slipped to fourth but fought back to finish second behind his ART Grand Prix team-mate Valtteri Bottas. Sims said: "Perhaps I was a little bit too cautious on the slicks, but the conditions did not help me." Sims returns to action in the Formula Three Euroseries - where he is currently joint fourth in the standings - in rounds seven and eight at the Norisring in Germany in July.
