Somerset Rebels crashed to their third consecutive away defeat, losing 51-39 to Birmingham in the Premier League. Jason Lyons was the home side's leading scorer with 12, a points tally matched by Somerset's Shane Parker. The Rebels started brightly, taking a 13-5 lead after three races but Justin Sedgman and Richard Sweetman pulled it back for the Brummies. Somerset host Stoke Potters on Friday and could welcome back Cory Gathercole and James Holder from injury. Gathercole has been sidelined with a shoulder injury while Holder has a collar bone problem.
