Somerset Rebels go into the Premier League match at Birmingham on Wednesday night without in-form Cory Gathercole.

He suffered a shoulder injury in the 58-35 defeat away to Berwick last Saturday so the Rebels will operate rider replacement.

Each of the remaining six members of the side are eligible to take one of Gathercole's four rides.

Somerset name guest rider Kalle Katajisto to replace injured reserve James Holder.

It is hoped that both Gathercole and Holder will be fit to return for Somerset's home match against Stoke at the Oak Tree Arena on Friday.
