Exeter Chiefs have signed Bath fly-half Ryan Davis ahead of their debut season in the Guinness Premiership.

The 24-year-old, who also plays at centre and full-back, made 28 appearances for Bath last season, scoring 102 points.

Exeter head coach Rob Baxter said: "A big factor in our success this year has been the ability for our backs to play in more than one position.

"Ryan can play to a Premiership standard at both 10 and 12."

Baxter added: "His work ethic and determination to improve himself and the team he plays in is just the type of characteristic we expect from an Exeter Chief."

Davis is the second signing that Exeter have made since they gained promotion to the Premiership, following wing Andrew Higgins into Sandy Park.
