Poole has been in impressive form for Stoke Potters this season

Taylor Poole has been ruled out of Stoke Potters' meeting at King's Lynn on Wednesday because of a groin injury.

Teenager Poole suffered the problem after crashing out during Stoke's home defeat against Workington on Sunday.

Cory Gathercole will ride as a guest for injured skipper Jason Bunyan, who is still out with knee ligament damage.

Stoke have won two and lost one of their three Premier League fixtures so far, after enduring a terrible campaign in the Premier Trophy.

King's Lynn have a formidable home record but Potters manager Malcolm Vasey is hopeful that his side can spring a surprise.

"We're not going there with a 'defeated before we start' attitude, just because most teams lose to King's Lynn," said Vasey.

"Hopefully I can galvanise the team together, we can put a decent display on and put some pride back into the team."
