Ben Taylor is due to return to action next month

Cradley Heath speedway legend Jan O Pedersen will be the guest of honour when newly-formed Dudley Heathens host Scunthorpe at Monmore on 27 April.

The 1991 world champion is to show his support for a new permanent home for the club within Dudley.

"Jan O has kept in touch ever since the launch night of the new Heathens," said Dudley team manager Will Pottinger.

"He's always said he'd like to come to a meeting and has confirmed he'll be with us next Tuesday."

Meanwhile Weymouth have informed the Heathens that they will recall loan rider Jon Armstrong at the end of the clubs' current agreement.

Armstrong will continue to cover for the injured Ben Taylor until his scheduled return on 11 May.
