Monmore Green was voted the Elite League's best prepared track in 2009

Wolverhampton's Monmore Green Stadium will be the venue for this summer's British Speedway Final.

The showpiece individual event will be coming to the city for only the second time in its history.

"The British Final is one of the most prestigious events on the calendar," said Wolves boss Chris van Straaten.

"The fact that the British champion has been handed a place at Cardiff in recent seasons for the Grand Prix means there's been added importance."

The British Speedway Final is one of seven major events held in this country each year, and will be staged at Monmore on Monday 14 June.
