Doolan is set to join King's Lynn - the side beaten in the Jack Young Shield

Workington have re-signed four of last season's Jack Young Shield winning side - but look likely to lose team captain Kevin Doolan to King's Lynn.

Riders John Branney, Craig Cook, Richard Lawson and Adam Roynon have all agreed to remain with the Comets for the 2010 season.

Comets owner Keith Denham said: "I'm delighted to have them all on board for next season.

"The fact that they are all local to Cumbria is very satisfying."

Coincidentally, Workington beat King's Lynn in the Jack Young Shield finale.
