Edward Kennett and Chris Harris top-scored for the Bees |
Coventry Bees booked their place in the final of the Knockout Cup by beating Belle Vue 93-87 on aggregate. Coventry lost the second leg 48-42 but had accrued enough of an advantage from the opening leg at Brandon to see them through on Monday night. Bees' joint-manager Peter Oakes told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "It was a struggle on the track. "But I don't really think we were ever in any danger of not going through to the final and that's all that matters." Edward Kennett and captain Chris Harris top-scored for the visitors with 12 points each. The Bees will now face Lakeside Hammers in the two-legged final which begins at Purfleet on 9 October. The return fixture at Brandon will not be until a fortnight later.
