Woffinden has been in sparkling form for Wolverhampton |
Wolverhampton rider Tai Woffinden is hoping his team can get the better of Swindon when the two Elite League pace-setters meet on Thursday. The top two teams face each other knowing that whoever wins will go into the play-offs with an eight-point advantage and the pick of opponents. "This should be a great meeting and we're all desperate to get that top spot," said the 19-year-old. "We've worked hard all season and we go to Swindon with a positive attitude." This is Woffinden's debut season in the Elite League and he warmed up for the table-topping clash with a paid maximum against play-off contenders Peterborough on Monday. The team finishing second will get a four-point advantage in the play-offs. Swindon currently lead Wolves by just one point.
