Burrows replaced Glen Phillips in the Stoke Potters line-up in May

Stoke Potters rider Mark Burrows has been released from hospital following a crash in the 56-37 victory over Scunthorpe at Loomer Road on Saturday.

The 44-year-old crashed out in heat 11 of the meeting and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

However, Burrows was allowed home on Sunday morning and should be fit to face Newport Wasps on Saturday.

"He's battered and bruised, but other than that he's fine," said Potters promoter Dave Tattum.
