Stoke had to cope with the loss of Tom P Madsen in the first heat |
Stoke Potters moved up to second place in the Premier League table after a 51-38 win over Newcastle Diamonds. The win at Loomer Road on Saturday kept up the Potters' 100% record in the Premier League this season. Tom P Madsen suffered a chest injury in the opening heat and was unable to ride again for the rest of the meeting. However, 12 points from fellow Dane Jesper Kristiansen, 12 from Jason Bunyan and 11 from skipper Lee Complin eased Stoke towards victory. Stoke now have two victories in the Premier League this season, the first of which came against Workington, who are two points ahead of Stoke at the top of the table. The Potters' only defeat so far came at Redcar on 7 May.
