The result leaves the Hammers in fifth place in the Elite League |
Lakeside Hammers missed out on the chance to top the Elite League table after losing 52-41 to Poole Pirates. The visitors' Jonas Davidsson top scored on the night with 14+1 points, whilst four heat wins helped Lee Richardson to 13. But 13 points from Chris Holder, plus stronger scoring from his team-mates gave the Dorset club the win. The result moved Poole off the bottom of the table and leaves Lakeside in fifth place after 10 meetings. The Essex outfit hope to have Joonas Kylmakorpi back in their line-up against Coventry next Monday, having had to use rider replacement for the past few meetings. Kylmakorpi has been out of action since he fractured his elbow last month.
