The 2009 TT race days start on 6 June

Top European riders Rico Penzkofer and Marc Fissette will make their debuts at the Isle of Man TT in 2009 for the Macau Racing Team.

Penzkofer, 33, is one of Germany's most consistent riders in the World Supersport and World Endurance series.

"It's always been my ambition to compete at the TT, it's the best road race in the world." said Penzkofer.

Belgian Fissette has enjoyed success all over the world including an impressive ninth in Macau last year.

The 34-year-old said: "The TT is the greatest road race in the world and it will be an honour to compete.

"I hope to have a good first year with some solid results and return for many years to come."

Both riders were part of the impressive Macau Yamaha Racing Team in 2008 and will line up at the TT for the same squad, riding R1 Yamahas in the Superbike, Superstock and Senior races.
