Wolverhampton's Dean Smith is hoping his 'incredible' debut in his first taste of Formula 3 will help his bid to secure his future in the sport.

Smith produced two excellent drives to finish fourth in his first two F3 races at Donnington Park on Sunday.

"It's been an incredible weekend. I've really enjoyed the racing," Smith said.

"Hopefully now people will see what I can do at this level and we'll be able to secure some sponsorship to help fund a full season in Formula 3 next year."

Having enjoyed his F3 debut, Smith's attentions now switch back to the conclusion of the Formula Renault season.

Smith heads to Barcelona for the final two rounds on Saturday, 18 October and Sunday, 19 October.

"Although we haven't had the results we'd hoped for this year, the last few races have gone better and we've had some improved luck.

"It would be great to end the season with a podium," Smith added.
