Harvey is the reigning WSK champion in the KF3 class |
Lincolnshire kart racer Jack Harvey faces one of the biggest meetings of his career as he bids to lift the KF2 World Cup title at La Conca, Italy. Harvey, 15, will hope to add victory in the one-off event to the Asia-Pacific KF2 title he won earlier in the season. He admitted: "It's an incredibly high profile event and one of the major trophies in the category. "I'm going out there feeling really confident and with every intention to come back with the World Cup title." Free practice at La Conca takes place on Thursday 18 September with the heats and finals on the following Saturday and Sunday. Harvey is also hoping to round off his season by lifting the KF2 title in the Winning Series of Karting (WSK) where he is second in the standings, one point behind the leader with one round to go at Zuera in Spain in October. He said: "I can't wait for Zuera, it's been a tough but great season in the WSK series this year and I really want to take the title. "It's been one of my main focuses this season and I'm really looking forward to the next few weekends."
