Lincolnshire kart racer Jack Harvey missed out on a third consecutive win after retiring from the latest round of the British Super One Championship. Despite struggling to get on the pace at Rowrah in Cumbria, the 15-year-old took fifth place in the opening final. But mechanical problems forced him out of race two while running in fourth. He said: "I'd hoped for another victory but I've had a great couple of weekends recently and this was down to something that was out of our hands." Harvey returns to action in July at the CIK FIA European Championship qualifiers at Val Vibrata, Italy. He said: "I'm going over there aiming to repeat what I did last year and be the top qualifier for the finals later in the year."
