Lincolnshire Kart racer Jack Harvey failed to make the podium in the latest round of the British KF2 championships. Racing at his home circuit, PF International near Ancaster, Harvey set fastest laps in both heats but retired from race one with engine trouble. Starting from the back of the grid for race two, he crashed at the first corner but recovered to finish 12th, setting another fastest lap. Harvey said: "Results haven't been what I expected but the speed is there." Next up for Harvey is a trip to Japan, where he will be racing at Suzuka, the former home of Formula 1's Japanese Grand Prix. "I want to start winning again and I'm hoping that I can do just that in Japan," he said. "I'm really looking forward to the event and hopefully everything will come together for me out there."
