Australian vice-captain Adam Gilchrist and Glenn McGrath were fined 50% of their match fees for showing dissent during the first one-day international against India.

The two players were penalised by West Indian match referee Cammie Smith after being reported by umpire S.K.Sharma following the day-night game in Bangalore.

Gilchrist was reported to Smith for showing dissent when Australian skipper Steve Waugh was declared leg before, while McGrath was penalised for verbal abuse after he was adjudged leg before.

India won the match by 60 runs.
