![]() | One-day reward for Hayden ![]() Hayden in one-day action for Queensland Opening batsman Matthew Hayden has been added to Australia's one-day squad following his prolific form in the Test matches in India. The Queenslander has been asked to stay on for the five-match series, which starts in Bangalore on Sunday. Hayden has scored 549 runs in six innings in the Tests, including an innings of 203 in the current game at Chennai. "It was decided to keep Hayden because he is in form and used to the conditions in India, said Australian Cricket Board media manager Brian Murgatroyd. Hayden has only played 19 one-day internationals in eight years, since making his debut against England at Old Trafford. He has scored 477 runs at an average of 29.81, with a best score of 67, but his one-day record in Australian domestic cricket is excellent with 5,739 runs in 146 matches, including 16 centuries. One-day specialists Michael Bevan, Andrew Symonds, Darren Lehmann, Ian Harvey and Nathan Bracken have all arrived in India to join the squad. Michael Slater, Justin Langer, Colin Miller and Michael Kasprowwicz are to return home.
