Rory McIlroy will play in the Ryder Cup next month

Rory McIlroy finished tied 37th at the Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston after firing a level-par 71 in Monday's final round.

The Holywood player started with a bogey while a birdie at the fifth was followed by another dropped shot at 14.

McIlroy birdied the par-three 16th and bogeyed the next hole, but he ended on a positive note with a birdie at 18.

The Ryder Cup debutant, who carded a superb 64 in the first round, was 18 shots behind winner Charley Hoffman.
