Lee-Anne Pace claims her second title of 2010 in Wales |
Lee-Anne Pace won her second European Tour title as the South African claimed the Wales Ladies Golf Championship of Europe crown at Conwy Golf Club. The 29-year-old carded a final round 70 to finish on six-under par and three shots clear of Christel Boeljon of the Netherlands and England's Melissa Reid. Pace adds the Wales title to her maiden victory at the Swiss Open in June. The 2009 winner Karen Stupples finished fifth on one-under while Wales' best placed golfer was Becky Brewerton. The North Walian, who hails from Abergele less than 10 miles away, finished tied seventh on one-over alongside Sweden's Carin Koch. Carolin Masson of Germany enjoyed an eight-under par final round of 64 to finish sixth but overnight leader Pace's steady round was enough to secure victory for the club-mate of 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen. "It is an amazing feeling," Pace told BBC Sport. "
