Johnny Caldwell faces a test of nerves in the final round

Johnny Caldwell is the best of the Ulster players after three rounds of the European Tour School Qualifying School, second stage in Spain.

A two-under-par 70 at Montenmedio leaves Caldwell joint 19th on one under - Richard Kilpatrick is four over.

Lurgan's Gareth Shaw is tied 29th on five under at Costa Ballena after a level-par 72.

Eddie Barr is joint 44th at Sherry Golf Jerez and Barrie Trainor is tied 55th at Arcos Gardens - both lie two over.

The top 20 players from each venue will go through to next week's European Tour School Final.
