Jonathan Caldwell played in the GB&I Walker Cup team last year

Clandeboye's Jonathan Caldwell has been named in the Great Britain and Ireland team to face the Continent of Europe in the St Andrews Trophy on 29-30 August.

Fellow Irishman Shane Lowry of Esker Hills is also in the GB&I side for the biennial competition which will be played at Kingsbarns, near St Andrews.

Wallace Booth, Matthew Haines, Sam Hutsby and Callum Mccaulay are also in the nine-man team.

Chris Paisley, Steven Uzzell and Dale Whitnell complete the line-up.
