 Clarke hit a 67 on Saturday despite some indifferent driving |
Darren Clarke finished fourth at the Joburg Open on 11 under par after firing a three-under-par 68 in his final 18 holes on Sunday. Clarke carded five birdies and two bogeys in his round on Sunday.
The Dungannon player had gone into the final day at the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Course three shots behind third round leader Mark Murless.
Richard Sterne, Garth Mulroy and Magnus Carlsson all ended on 13 under but Sterne won after two play-off holes.
Sterne had fired a 65 and Mulroy and Carlsson both had closing 66s.
Murless recorded a 73 and fell back to finish tied for fifth on nine under par.
