Wie withdrew from last month's Ginn Tribute saying she had an injured wrist but was seen practising two days later.

At the time Wie, who was 14 over after 16 holes when she gave up, said she did not "need to apologise for anything".

When asked if they had made up ahead of this week's US Women's Open, Wie said: "I haven't really seen her yet."

Sorenstam, who was hosting the Ginn Tribute, remains unimpressed and told reporters that it is "never too late" for Wie to say sorry.

While the Hawaii-born teenager seems reluctant to build bridges with the former world number one, she was happy to confirm her availability for the US Women's Open, which starts on Thursday.

"I'm not going to miss it for anything," she said.

Wie will play alongside Christina Kim and Natalie Gulbis when the tournament gets underway at the Southern Pines course in North Carolina.

Sorenstam, who beat Pat Hurst in an 18-hole play-off last year to win the tournament for the third time, will be playing alongside amateur Kimberly Kim and Sherri Steinhauer.

World number one Lorena Ochoa will play with Ai Miyazato and Stacy Prammanasudh, but rivalling the world's top player for media attention will be 12-year-old Alexis Thompson, the youngest qualifier in US Women's Open history.

The Florida schoolgirl goes out in the third-to-last group, with Angela Jerman and Amy Yang.

"We're just hoping to make it a lot of fun for her, if we can manage to avoid getting too caught up in everything that goes on," said her father and caddie Scott Thompson.
