Ireland tied for ninth position with France at the Eisenhower Trophy in South Africa. Rory McIlroy was the star on the final day of action with a round of five under 67 while Gareth Shaw fired a 73 and Simon Ward carded a four over 76.
Ireland finished the tournament on 12 under overall, adding 140 shots on Sunday to end on a total of 564.
The Netherlands were the winners with Canada taking second and the United States of America third.
