Australia's Karrie Webb carded 69 to take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Evian Masters on the Ladies European Tour.
Webb reached 12 under to lead Hawaiian teenager Michelle Wie with England's Laura Davies and South Korea's Se Ri Pak one shot further back.
Sweden's world number one Annika Sorenstam was seven under after a third-round 71.
American teenager Paula Creamer slipped to four under after a 74.
"It was another good start but I seemed to struggle through the middle holes," said Webb, who dropped three shots through 12 and 13.
"I putted pretty well and was comfortable on the greens. But it's only the third round. There's a long way to go. There are a lot of low numbers to be had out there.
"I'm not really bothered about being in the lead. There are a lot of great players behind me and with a one-shot lead I feel I've got to attack. It's not like protecting a three or four-shot lead."
Wie, who led with Webb and Mexico's Lorena Ochoa overnight, carded 70.
"I played a lot harder than the past few days, the pin positions were a lot harder," said Wie, who is still seeking her first win as a professional. "I made my putts when I had to so I feel good going into tomorrow."
England Davies fired the day's joint low round - with American Morgan Pressel - of 67.
