R2 LEADERBOARD:
-9 M Wie (US), L Ochoa (Mex), K Webb (Aus)
-8 S Pak (Kor)
-7 MH Kim (Kor)
Selected others:
-6 P Creamer (US), A Sorenstam (Swe)
-5 L Davies (Eng)

Teenage sensation Michelle Wie is tied for the lead after the second round of the Evian Masters in France.

The 16-year-old Hawaiian shot a six-under 66 to lead alongside Mexico's Lorena Ochoa and Australia's Karrie Webb on nine under par.

Ochoa and Webb shot 69 and 68 respectively while Se Ri Pak is a stroke further back after a second 68.

Annika Sorenstam and Paula Creamer are both three off the pace, while Laura Davies is on five under after a 71.

Wie, who finished second with Ochoa when Creamer won the title a year ago, did not drop a single shot and picked up six birdies.

She squandered a chance to go even lower, missing an easy birdie putt on the 13th and having to settle for a par four.

She also had some luck when her tee shot on the 18th hit a tree.

The ball bounced back onto the fairway and she made par to claim a share of the lead.

Karen Stupples was the only player to match Wie's 66, but the Englishwoman had opened with a 78 and so was still nine shots off the lead.
