A birdie at the last gave former Ryder Cup star Jose Rivero a one-shot win at the Wales Seniors Open. Rivero had started six strokes back but as the leaders faltered the 50-year-old Spaniard went on a birdie spree for a round of 68 and a four-under total.
Scot Sam Torrance, David J Russell of England, Spain's Juan Quiros and Gery Watine of France all shared second.
"This is a great event to win so I am delighted - now I am right back in the hunt for the Order of Merit," he said.
