 Graeme McDowell falls back the field at Wentworth |
Graeme McDowell fired a disappointing second round of 76 to fall down the leaderboard at the BMW Championship at Wentworth on Friday. McDowell dropped to one under - 10 shots behind leader Peter Hedblom. The Swede is three shots ahead of Ireland's Paul McGinley who fired a superb 64.
Padraig Harrington is six under following a round of 68 and Darren Clarke hit a 69 to move to four under.
Peter Lawrie, Damien McGrane and Gary Murphy are under par and made the cut.
First round joint-leader Lawrie slipped to a 75 which left him on two under, the same mark as Gary Murphy who shot a fine 68.
Damien McGrane maintained his good start to the tournament by adding a 71 to his opening 69 for a four-under-par total at the halfway stage.
David Higgins and Philip Walton both missed the cut.
Higgins fired two successive 75s which Walton shot a 77 for a total of 152.
