 Darren Clarke will hope for success at Wentworth |
Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke will tee-off in consecutive groups in Thursday's first round of the BMW Championship at Wentworth. McDowell will start his first round at 1255BST with Ian Poulter and Jose Maria Olazabal while Clarke joins Thomas Levet and Retief Goosen at 1305BST.
Peter Lawrie, David Higgins, Padraig Harrington, Paul McGinley, Gary Murphy and Damien McGrane are also competing.
An international field will compete for a record prize fund of �4,000,000.
The flagship event of the European Tour was won last year by Scott Drummond from Scotland.
Eleven of the 2004 Ryder Cup team will be taking part, along with 2006 and 2008 Ryder Cup captains Ian Woosnam and Nick Faldo, who have won six PGA titles between them.
