Kenny Perry cruised to a seven-shot win in the Colonial at Fort Worth, a record-equalling 19-under total giving him his second win in the tournament. Only a double-bogey six at the 17th hole prevented him beating the tally he set when winning the event in 2003.
But a one-under 69 was enough to give Perry, 44, the ninth title of his career and his sixth since turning 40.
Fellow American Billy Mayfair was his closest rival on 12 under par.
Australia's Peter Lonard and American duo David Toms and Joe Durant tied for third a further shot back.
Former European Ryder Cup captain Bernhard Langer was among a group of seven players on 10 under, with Englishman Justin Rose finishing strongly with a 64.
Perry, who also won the Bay Hill Invitational in March, joins Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh and Phil Mickelson as the only multiple winners on the US tour this season.
"I didn't feel dominant but I knew my game was good, my
swing was good," Perry said.
"When I birdied the first hole I knew I was going to have a good day.
"It feels great. I'm 44, I'm still stomping around out there. I can't believe I've won here twice."
Neither Woods nor Singh played this week, but Singh will regain the world number one ranking from Woods on Monday.
The system is based on previous results, and Woods will lose more points than Singh from a year ago, and slip narrowly behind him.
