Clarke slips back to joint third

Northern Ireland star Darren Clarke is defending his title
Darren Clarke is tied third in the Taiheiyo Masters in Japan after firing a one-under-par 71 in the second round on Friday.

The defending champion from Dungannon started the tournament in fine style on Thursday and shared the first round lead after a 66.

But Clarke, who carded three bogeys and two bogeys on Friday, is now five shots behind leader Hideki Kase.

Former Open winner Justin Leonard is five under after a 65.
