Wie to take on men in Japan event
Michelle Wie
Wie is still playing as an amateur
Teenager Michelle Wie is set to compete on the Japanese men's tour in November.

The American schoolgirl, who turns 16 next month, will become only the second female to take on the men in Japan when she takes part in the Casio World Open.

Sweden's Sophie Gustafson appeared in the same tournament two years ago but failed to make the cut.

In January 2004, Wie became only the fourth female to play on the men's US PGA Tour when she missed the cut by one shot at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
