Cristie Kerr held her nerve to withstand Annika Sorenstam's surge up the leaderboard and win the Wendy's Championship for Children on Sunday. Kerr made crucial putts at the 17th and 18th to reach 18-under, with Sorenstam and Paula Creamer one shot behind.
Sorenstam, the world number one, hit a 66 to put the pressure on Kerr, but the American was not to be denied.
Pat Hurst and Jeong Jang shared fourth place in Ohio, while Laura Davies' challenge petered out with a 76.
Sorenstam made six birdies, but could only watch from the clubhouse as Kerr holed the five-foot putt at the last for victory.
"When you're on the green you can control it yourself," Sorenstam said.
"When you are just watching it, it's really nerve wracking."
Kerr bogeyed the 15th, but birdies at the second, 11th, 12th and 13th were enough for victory.
Davies had equalled the course record with a 63 on Saturday, but could not find any kind of rhythm in the final round.
Defending champion Catriona Matthew, who shared the lead after the opening two rounds, fired a final-round 66 to end up on 13 under.
