Catriona Matthew claimed another six-under-par 66 to retain a share of the lead at the Wendy's Championship for Children in Dublin, Ohio.

The Scot had three birdies and an eagle to go out in 31 before claiming two more birdies and a bogey coming home.

The reigning champion, who is in line for a wildcard place in Europe's Solheim Cup team, shares the lead on 12 under with South Korea's Soo-Yun Kang.

Australia's Karrie Webb was another with a 66 and is on 11 under.

Michele Redman and Paula Creamer are a shot further back.

The highlight of Matthew's round came at the long ninth where she claimed an eagle with a six-foot putt.

"I played really well again and my driving has been the best part of my game this week," she said.

"But I am doing most things pretty well - I must be to shoot two 66s.

"Obviously, having won here last year helps the confidence and it's a course that suits my game."

Last year's women's British Open champion Karen Stupples, who has been out for three weeks with an ear infection, fired a 67 to end up on six under.

Laura Davies made the cut after bouncing back from a disappointing 75 on the opening day to card a 66.

She is on three under and made sure of her place on the final two days by just a shot.
