Andrade stays on course
Billy Andrade hits an iron
Andrade is eight under for the tournament

Billy Andrade moved a step closer to his first tour title for two years with a second-round 68 in the Pennsylvania Classic on Friday.

Overnight leader Andrade, 38, still leads by a shot, with Canada's Ian Leggatt (65) in second place on a seven-under-par 135.

USPGA Tour rookie Kenneth Staton double bogeyed his opening hole, the 10th, but recovered to shoot a two-under 69 for third on 136.

Brent Geiberger, Jeff Brehaut and Donnie Hammond are tied for fourth on 137, while defending champion Robert Allenby is among a group of seven players on 139.

Leggatt won his first title earlier this year

Andrade started his early-morning round on the back nine and finally carded his first bogey of the tournament at the sixth hole, his 15th of the day.

"But I came right back and birdied seven and nine, so it was nice to finish with a couple of birdies," he said.

"I just want to get ready to play tomorrow and try to get right in there and win this thing.

"I'm obviously putting well - I'm making all of my short putts.

"I'm controlling my distance with my club selection. I'm not getting myself into too much trouble."

Leggatt, who won his first US Tour title earlier this season at the Tucson Open, was two-under on the front nine.

Birdie flurry

He then bogeyed the 11th when he flew his wedge approach over the green and took three more shots to get down.

Starting at the 12th, however, he reeled off five consecutive birdies and missed a three-foot birdie putt on the 17th that would have tied him with Andrade.

"This course, I enjoy," he said. "Most of the holes set up pretty good for me.

"I grew up on a golf course (Galt Country Club in Cambridge, Ontario) very similar to this. I definitely enjoy it, so I'm looking forward to it."

Second-round leaderboard:

134 Billy Andrade 66 68
135 - Ian Leggatt (Can) 70 65
136 - Kenneth Staton 67 69

138 - JJ Henry 67 71, Paul Goydos 69 69, Jim McGovern 71 67
