Lincoln Ladies defender Casey Stoney says her sights are firmly set on a place in the Great Britain team at next year's Olympic Games in London.

Stoney, 29, played in all of England's matches as they reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Germany.

She told BBC Lincolnshire: "To be part of London 2012 would be the highlight of my career.

"If we could do something special and maybe go all the way, what can I say? There are no words to describe that."

After a 10-week summer break for the World Cup Lincoln Ladies return to action in the Women's Super League away at Bristol Academy on Friday evening.

Stoney said: "We want to start well, we want to start with a win and we won't accept anything less than that."
