Corinthians thrash Colby 14-0 to maintain advantage

Football

Corinthians remain four points clear of Douglas Royal in the MBL Women's Division after a thumping 14-0 victory over second bottom Colby on Sunday.

The home side led 6-0 at half-time before running riot in the second-half to maintain their unbeaten record.

Second placed Douglas Royal bounced back after last week's disappointing defeat at the leaders, with a 5-3 win over third place Gymnasium at Tromode.

Gymns led on three occasions, but Royal left with all three points.

Meanwhile, Douglas High School Old Boys remain at the foot of the table after their tenth straight defeat.

Ramsey's biggest league win of the campaign means the northerners climb to fourth and leaves DHSOB with a goal difference of -101.

Elsewhere, Castletown defeated Peel 6-3 at Douglas Road to move above the westerners into fifth.
