Everton Ladies striker Natasha Dowie says their aim is to retain the FA Women's Cup, ahead of Sunday's fifth round meeting with rivals Arsenal.

Dowie scored the winner in a 3-2 win over the Gunners in May's 2010 final.

"It does bring back great memories of the final last year," Dowie told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"Myself and Everton would love to get there again as a team. But it's going to be hard work on Sunday, so lets just hope it's a good result for us."

She added: "Hopefully I can do the same again this time, but I don't care who scores as long as we win. It will be a really tough game.

"If we want to win the FA Cup we've got to play against the best teams and Arsenal have proved that for a long time."

Everton are a founder member of the new FA Women's Super League, which starts in April, and have managed to keep their squad in tact despite an influx of money into the game.

Eight clubs from around the country now have semi-professional status, with a select group of international players eligible to claim wages of up to £20,000 a year.

Dowie, the niece of former Northern Ireland striker Iain Dowie, says credit has to go to Blues manager Mo Marley for retaining the club's star players.

"I can't speak highly enough of Mo," continued Dowie. "She's a top coach and I've played in a few of her teams now.

"All the players she has are top internationals and if they were interested in money they would have left by now.

"She's got the coaching ability and the players respect her and want to win things - that's why people are at this club.

"For me especially, I want to be competing in the Champions League and winning cup finals."
