Sunderland ladies thump Blackburn to go top of league
By Tony Leighton
Sunderland moved top of the Women's Premier League with a 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers.
Blackburn had been top, but a Sophie Williams brace secured Sunderland's win as they leapfrogged the visitors.
Millwall Lionesses and Reading each recorded their second wins of the season, Millwall 2-1 at Watford and Reading 2-0 against Nottingham Forest.
In a delayed League Cup tie Barnet won 4-0 at QPR to reach the last 16 with a 100% record from their group.

Sunderland 4-1 Blackburn Rovers
Kelly McDougall set up Sophie Williams to score Sunderland's 33rd-minute opener and Williams returned the compliment for McDougall to double the lead a minute after half-time.
Danielle Sheen took advantage of a defensive error to bring Rovers back into the game in the 53rd minute.
But within 60 seconds Williams netted her second of the afternoon from a Demi Stokes cross.
And nine minutes from time McDougall put her name on the scoresheet again after latching on to Abbey Holmes' lofted through-ball.
Watford 1-2 Millwall Lionesses
In a scrappy first half, Lizzy Edwards gave Millwall a 23rd-minute lead that was cancelled out by Sarah Wiltshire three minutes later.
A 66th-minute Ann-Marie Heatherson goal proved the winner, the striker turning in the rebound after her penalty had been stopped by goalkeeper Chloe Crook.
The Lionesses had to survive a few late scares, however, both Wiltshire and Holly Miles hitting the woodwork as the Hornets pressed for an equaliser.
Reading 2-0 Nottingham Forest
Goals either side of half-time by Natsha Caswell and Linda Hirons gave Reading a victory that lifted them to within a point of third-placed Forest.
