Everton are confident they can repeat the cup win of 2008
Everton Ladies manager Mo Marley says her side need to prove they are the best team in the country and win the Premier League Cup on Thursday.
The Blues won the competition in 2008 and meet Leeds in the 2010 final.
Marley told BBC Radio Merseyside: "The players experience, ability and the quality we produce week in week out has to come together on Thursday.
"Instead of saying we're potentially the best, we have to step up and take that mantel and be the best."
She added: "In 2008 we said it was the start things to come. We went close in 2009 but I think with the potential the players have got it's about delivering in 2010."
Everton face Leeds in what could be the last Premier League Cup final in it's current form, as the introduction of the Super League means summer football for teams in the top flight.
Striker Natasha Dowie, niece of former Northern Ireland striker Iain Dowie, says the squad want the 2009/2010 season to be a successful one.
"As a player you're aware of the Super League starting and this could be our last season together as a squad," said Dowie.
"I don't know what my plans are next season. I'd love to still play for Everton but we don't know what the situation is with regard to teams.
"But I definitely want to win the league with Everton, I want to win the League Cup and FA Cup. They are a great bunch of girls and the staff members behind the scenes work so hard.
"I want to do it for them, the players and myself - we want to win every game. I hope this season will be very good for Everton Ladies."
