Sunderland Women have won the team of the round award after they knocked out Premier League side Bristol in the FA Women's Cup quarter-finals.

The Wearsiders were 2-0 down at half time but bounced back to win 4-2.

"Everyone at Sunderland Women is delighted to receive this award," said manager Mick Mulhern.

"To come from two goals down and beat quality National League opposition is a great achievement and we are delighted that this has been recognised."

Sunderland face Chelsea in their semi-final tie, with the match being played at the Stadium of Light, on Sunday 22 March at 1400 GMT.
